The Giant and Huggable Trixie! by DoubleBackstitchArts The Giant and Huggable Trixie! by DoubleBackstitchArts
Behold the greatest and most powerful plush, Megatrix! Or the Giant and Huggable Trixie, if you will.

As stated above, she's 44 inches tall (1.12 meters), and is scaled to be life-sized according to lots of maths and some time in MS Paint. She weighs something like 15 lbs or so, and is my greatest achievement in plushsmithing since my 1:2 scale Luna that I used metal for her regalia, and possible will be my greatest achievement in plush overall.

Here's her next to me for a person-to-pony scaling. [link]

I've been working on her for months, and it's quite a feeling seeing her done. She's my second fav, and I'm glad I was able to finish her within a few days of the best episode of FiM since Luna Eclipsed. Her cape and hat are in the works, so stay tuned for that.

~wilshirewolf bought her up about as soon as he found out I was making her, and he's pleased as punch to see her final look.

If you've got any questions, ask away. Note that I'm not currently taking any commissions, but if you want something really wild (like a life-size) contact me and I'll think about adding you to my limited summer list. Be warned, the bigger they are, the harder they hit your wallet.

That last panel is adorable. Trixie sitting on the sofa. Just... just... d'awwwww. :aww:  :XD:

If you make these for others, do you keep some of the life-sized ones for yourself?

Seeing how easily posable they appear to be, you could totally do comics with your plushies in a (relatively) non-time consuming manner.
Or, maybe an "Ask Plush and Huggable Trixie"/ "Ask Plush-ponies"-tumblr ask-driven comic-blog. Or something to that effect. =P

So many possibilities for cute photos. :aww:

I make these on a commission basis for... anyone who'll pay for them. I can't really afford to keep one, because they're so expensive materials and time-wise, but I'd like to have a life size some day. Maybe Celestia XD Or a lifesize of my pony's special somepony perhaps ;3

I wanted to do stop motion animations with them for the longest time, but I never got around to it. It's just so time consuming, and I rarely have more than one pony at a time with how long they take and how quick I ship them out. If I did make a lifesize to keep, I'd definitely consider a tumblr or something. Certainly a lot of possibilities! I do love getting pics from my customers when they pose my girls around their new homes.

Aww. :(

Hmmm... Have you ever considered "plush-ifying" one of the Cutie Mark Crusaders?
You could technically make them "life-sized" and still have lower material-cost.
